Slimline adapter cable from 3,5 mm (1/8") to 6,3 mm (1/4"). Like the shorter ones it is made of very flexible TPE material with a nice soft and rubbery feel. They are specially made for us. The connectors are extremely slim, what's good when you use very densely packed modules or audio interfaces. Simplicity rules: this series of cables is monochromatic black & white, as we wanted to make it look clean but organized when mixed on your system. It's also available in 200 cm length as a normal patch cable plus also in shorter lengths between 7 cm and 60 cm.Facts:• Side 1: 3,5 mm (1/8")• Side 2: 6,3 mm (1/4")• 200 cm (black)• Pack of 1 piece
With this ticket you'll reserve your place in the Erica Synths BBD workshop at DIY & Synth Meetup (Mini Edition) on 26. Oct 2024. Read more information about the DIY kit further down.BBD is a brandnew Bucket Brigade Delay Eurorack module from Erica Synths. It is released in their cooperation line with well known builder Moritz Klein. The module will have its DIY premiere in our nice event in Leipzig. An interesting problem back in the day was: how do you create a delayed duplicate of a sound without recording it to some sort of storage medium? Back then, before digital signal processing and cheap, abundant memory, this was a real engineering issue. Until two engineers named Sangster and Teer came up with a deceptively simple solution: the bucket brigade delay. Moritz Klein reverse-engineered the architecture of a classic BBD, recreated a bare-bones-version on the breadboard – and then used a proper BBD chip to implement a simple audio delay effect. This journey resulted in another module in Moritz Klein Instruments and Erica Synths EDU.DIY series – BBD FX! It's beautifully simple Bucket Brigade Delay module with unique clock noise cancelling circuit and some distinct performance-oriented features. Erica Synths team agreed, that it's one of the best sounding BBDs, you can find. 10 HP width, the kit price is 70€.This ticket reserves your workshop place. The module itself costs 70€ which has to be paid during the event.Start of the event is 11 am on Oct 26 in Leipzig Plagwitz. We'll email you the address after your registration. Another non-musical object, but fun. With this DIY kit you can possibly convince your kids and partner, that it’s a ok to spend all your cash in your hobby ;-) With this christmas ball, featuring pulsating lights you can contribute something to your family’s christmas tree. This is a very easy DIY project, maybe a first one for your kids. 3 LEDs, a switch and a battery holder.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. It includes SMD and through-hole parts! For build guide, more info, videos etc. please check the buttons below.
Ok, a christmas module with pulsating lights does not make sense at all. But it’s for those nerds, who want to celebrate christmas in their Eurorack system. We made it for fun. We are sure this is one of the easiest DIY projects in the entire world. 4 LEDs, 2 resistors and a power header.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. It includes SMD and through-hole parts! For build guide, more info, videos etc. please check the buttons below.
It's christmas time in your modular rack and this year we invented a proper christmas tree module! The LEDs of the tree change color and are used as oscillators to generate weirdo-sound. There are four sections with two LEDs each which modulate each other. You can patch the oscillator outs to the left or right output with mini-patch wires. With this DIY kit you have 2 options:1) The tree can be used standalone with a 9V battery as a simple light effect which is standing on a table etc. In this version there is no audio possible.2) You complete the whole module and solder the tree to the panel. Then you can make use of the full audio possibilities. This kit is perfect to build it with your kids or finally convince your partner, that modular maybe isn't that bad.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. It includes SMD and through-hole parts! Pack of 2 Indicator Touch Points. These ones feature a bi-polar LED inside so you can easily detect the polarity of your signal. Of course you can use them in the same way like the original Touch Points. They are assembled and no DIY.
5 Touch Points in black. We made them as an extension for our Touch Source, but of course you can use them without the module for wireless patching in your Eurorack system. We made them higher and smaller than comparable products or most DIY versions, so the Touch Points are easily accessible between cables and buttons in your system.
5 Touch Points in orange. We made them as an extension for our Touch Source, but of course you can use them without the module for wireless patching in your Eurorack system. We made them higher and smaller than comparable products or most DIY versions, so the Touch Points are easily accessible between cables and buttons in your system.
Explore wireless patching through Touch Points! Touch Source generates voltages between -10V and +10V, in the center is a touch plate with GND/0V. Place the Touch Points on any CV input of a module and connect a voltage to the Touch Point via your fingers. Or connect two Touch Points from any input to output through your body. Rule #1 is: there are no rules! Here is a review on Amazona (german) and some demo videos here and there.Touch Source includes 2 black Touch Points. Packs of 5 Touch Points are available separately in black or orange to visualize your signal flow. Packs of 2 indicator Touch Points with bi-plar LEDs are also available. The unit is pre-assembled and no DIY.
This is a pro-version of our tool for the M6 knurled and smooth slotted nuts for Thonkiconn and similar audio connectors used in Eurorack. The vinyl tool body comes with a 4 mm hex bit, which you can use with most standard handles available from hardware stores. Compared to the original tool from our 4x Nut Tool Set this makes the assembly much easier when you have to assemble many nuts in a row. It's a good investment for small maker brands and professional DIYers. The tool is made for hand-operation, not for machines like electric drills or electrical screwdrivers, as this might damage the tool or steel pins.It comes equipped with 2 inserted hardened steel pins plus 6 replacement pins. The tool features 6 holes in total, means 2 alternative pin positions. If pins break after time, you pull them out with a small precision pliers and replace them with new pins using the other holes. The tool works for PCB panels and also thicker aluminum panels. The handle is not part of the product and has to be purchased separately.• For knurled and smooth nuts• Works with M6 nuts (Thonkiconn...)• Feat. 4mm hex bit for standard handles• Replacable hardened steel pins• Incl. 6 replacement pins• 2 alternative pin positions for maximum lifetime
Eurorack LED Patch Cables. Make your system glow!Flexible, half transparent PTFE material with extremely nice, rubbery feeling. 3,5 mm (1/8") TS mono connectors on both sides. Each plug features a red/green LED and lights up red when positive and green when negative voltage passes through it. The LEDs on the other sides's plug are always reverse and will have the opposite color. Please have in mind that the LEDs are powered by your CV or audio signal and need some voltage to operate. Means you can expect a very small voltage drop and you have to test if it's ok to use them for your 1v/oct signals. For normal audio and all sorts of CV it's definitely ok.Available in packs of 5 pieces each:• 90 cm length• 3,5 mm connectors

Each connector features a red and blue LED, which alter by polarity of your signal. They feature slim aluminum-shell connectors with Exploding Shed logo engraving. The LEDs shine out of the top and bottom of the connector what also illuminates the sockets of your module. Please have in mind that the LEDs are powered by your CV or audio signal and need a certain current/voltage to operate properly. Means also you can expect a very small voltage drop and you have to test if it's ok to use them for your 1v/oct signals. For normal audio and all sorts of CV it's definitely ok.Available in 4 lengths in packs of 5 pieces each:• 15 cm (black)• 30 cm (white)• 45 cm (orange)• 60 cm (green)
Side Brackets 3U - 3D Printed - Standard Rails - Type A - Black• Cheap alternative for Alu side brackets• You can insert threaded strips or slide-nuts without dismounting the frame• Beautifully rounded corners match the lid of the railsThis is only the brackets (always one pair), NOT the rails or whole frames! You need additional rails, M5 screws and threaded strips or slide-nuts. Others might call them side-parts, side-cheecks or side-panels.With these brackets you can easily build stable and precise Eurorack frames and mount them in your DIY case. Just take your rail length + 2x3mm and you have the resulting width of your frame. There are some different rail types on the market - these are made for the Exploding Shed rails. Might fit for others, but you should have a closer look before. We won't take scratched side brackets back! When you buy all stuff here, you are sure that all fits together in the end.Standard Rails vs. Low Profile RailsIt is possible to use the side brackets made for standard rails with low profile rails instead Then you have an overhang at the back, but who cares, as you don't see it later.Type A vs. Type BNever mix Type A with Type B stuff! That won't fit.Height: 3U & 1U - What does it mean? One normal Eurorack module is 3U in height. 5U would be the bigger Moog format, but we're mainly all Eurorack addicts here. 6U is basically 2 rows a 3U then. 1U is the smaller "tile" format which exists as Intellijel size and the less prominent Pulp Logic size. We focus on Intellijel size here.Screws vs. BracketsAll side brackets are 3mm thick. With the standard M5 countersunk screws it might happen that the transition between threading of the screw and screw head (where it's still slim) looks slightly through the bracket in direction of the rail. To make the bracket really sit 100% tight on the side of the rail, you probably have to use a countersink (drill) like this (https://www.obi.de/senker/lux-handsenker-hss-12-mm/p/4949624) or this (https://www.obi.de/senker/lux-senker-comfort-12-mm/p/5816764) to open the hole on the rail side a bit and make sure the last 1/4mm or so of the screw head can sink through the bracket into the hole of the rail itself. Then the construction will be maximum stable. You have to do that yourself.
