Product information "Wirehead Instruments - Basilisk (Assembled)"
This is the assembled version of this synth with red LEDs! Basilisk is a new bass-line exploration synthesizer from Wirehead Instruments, with dual digital oscillators driven into an aggressive MS20-style analog filter coupled with a powerful generative sequencer.
Whether you need thumping bass-lines, melodic leads, or percussive tribal beats, the Basilisk is ready to lead you down the rabbit hole from the moment you power it on.
The dual oscillators include saw and square/pulsewave, with manual & LFO control over PWM, detune, pitch envelope & glide.
The analog filter has a fat saturated drive stage with resonance that can go from subtle to squelching to screaming, and the external audio input can process instruments from your desktop or Eurorack
All of this can be sequenced and modulated by the attack/decay exponential envelope, multi-waveform/multi-destination LFO and Elektron-style parameter-locks.
The Basilisk is powered by a 1-16-step generative sequencer evolved from the Freaq FM, with multiple algorithms. Explore deep space, underground caverns, deep jungle or 1980s suburbia!

Manufacturer "Wirehead Instruments"
“Wireheading is the act of directly triggering the brain's reward center by electrical stimulation of an inserted wire, for the purpose of 'short-circuiting' the brain's normal reward process and artificially inducing pleasure.”
With a lifelong passion for music and technology, I have been designing and building synthesizers, modules and noise machines in my home studio since 2020.
Combining a background in electronics assembly and software development with many years as an acoustic and electronic musician, I have long since bored all my family and friends with endless bleeps&bloops, so I started publishing to share my music/noise with a wider audience. I quickly learned that the world does not need many more 10-minute-long DAWless jams but there are lots of people interested in fun noisy music machines and projects!
In 2023, Meebleeps Machines became “Wirehead Instruments” to reflect the primary purpose of these tools - artificially induced pleasure!
