The MetaModule puts real knobs and jacks on virtual software modules. Step back from the computer and make music with hardware, while keeping the flexibility and expandability of software.THIS PRODUCT IS ASSEMBLED AND NO DIY!The MetaModule comes with over 160 built-in modules from 4ms Company, Befaco, HetrickCV, NonlinearCircuits, and Scanner Darkly, plus clones of popular classics such as the Mutable Instruments Eurorack modules, fun physical modeling algorithms, and lots of handy utilities. All of the included modules are also available on the computer using the free program VCV Rack. Whether you make patches on VCV Rack and transfer them to the MetaModule, or if you just create patches directly on the MetaModule, there are plenty of creative modules to inspire new ways to make music.MetaModule PluginsIf the 160+ built-in module aren’t enough, you can load more modules as plugins. Already there are over 200 modules in third-party plugins from Bogaudio, Valley, ChowDSP, NANO Modular, and the list is growing. We have an SDK available to make it easy for VCV Rack plugin developers to convert their plugin to a MetaModule plugin. Our licensing terms are non-restrictive: developers are welcome to distribute their plugin in any way they wish, commercially or not.Mapping Knobs and JacksThe MetaModule has 12 knobs that can be mapped to virtual knobs. Each knob can be mapped to up eight virtual knobs, and each mapping can have a different range and offset. You also can save a group of mappings as a Knob Set and switch between Knob Sets with the encoder. You also can map the 8 inputs and 8 outputs to virtual module jacks. Also, the MetaModule is a USB MIDI host, so you also can map MIDI CC, note, gate, and other parameters to knobs and jacks.ExpandersThere are lots of ways to customize your MetaModule. A Wifi expander allows you to wirelessly transfer patches from your computer. Add eight more knobs with the Knob expander, or buttons with the Button expander. A CV/Audio expander adds more high-resolution inputs and outputs, and the Gate In/Out expander adds not only gate jacks but also TRS MIDI and I2C.Under the HoodThere are six CV/Audio inputs, two gate inputs, and six CV/Audio outputs. The CV/Audio jacks are all 24-bit, 48kHz DC-coupled, -10V to +10V. A USB-C jack accepts MIDI devices and thumb drives. Patches and plugins can be loaded via a USB drive or microSD Card, and internal flash memory lets you save patches you always want to come back to.The processor is more advanced than anything 4ms has used in the past, and is among the most powerful processors found in Eurorack. This is a new revision of one of our first modules, back from 2010. Now more compact in 6 HP and with an Offset CV input. The incoming signal amplitude is controlled by a [GAIN] attenuverter circuit allowing to attenuate the signal as well as invert its phase. A back jumper can set the maximum gain amount to either x1 (unity gain) or x10. DIY modifications can be made by changing its resistors. After the Gain an offset can be added to the signal, displacing the signal up or down (-5V to +5V) this can be adjusted using the [OFFSET] knob and CV input. When using no input using the [OFFSET] knob and CV input will generate an output between -5V and +5V.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. All SMD parts are pre-soldered, only trough-hole parts to solder. There are two equal sections in this module labeled A and B.This module is a peculiar type of mixer that instead of just summing two input signals (X & Y), it also allows the possibility to subtract the two signals. It works both for audio and CV signals and hence allows for the possibility to get the diference of two CVs or cancel the phase of two audio signals. The resulting signal, of sum or subtraction, is then routed through a switchable (on/off) full rectification circuit labeled: Absolute. After this the gain of the mixed signal goes through another attenuverter labeled: Amplitude to control the resulting signal gain which, being an attenuverter, also allows the possibility to invert the incoming signal. After the Amplitude comes an AC/DC coupling switch followed by an bipolar Offset knob.Besides the normal output there’s also an inverted output for each of the A & B sections. The outputs of section A & B are also summed and sent to the Average Output.Using a single input, just the X or Y input, the module can also be used as a simple dual Attenuverter & Offset CV processor with full rectification and AC coupling options.Features:• 2 independent sections each with:• 2 inputs with gain attenuverters• Amplitude attenuverter and bipolar Offset• Absolute/Bipolar and AC/DC switches• Output and inverted output• 2 leds monitor the Output polarities and gain.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. ADDAC306 is a 5 channel multi-directional CV generator. You can think of it as a "sweet spot" controller, or a hands-on way of transiting from one state to another. Each of the five channels has MINIMUM, SPAN and DIRECTION controls, a common CV IN and a common TRANSITION CONTROLLER slider.MINIMUM sets the minimum channel voltage.SPAN sets the voltage range of the channel. It essentially sets the maximum voltage that can be output from the channel, relative to what the current channel MINIMUM is. For a given SPAN value, if the MINIMUM voltage is changed then the maximum voltage output from that channel will also change respectively.DIRECTION sets whether the voltage transition for each channel goes from MINIMUM to maximum, or maximum to MINIMUM.The TRANSITION CONTROLLER slider controls the transition from the minimum value (A) to the maximum value (B) or vice versa, according to the settings of each independent channel.Moving this slider generates 5 different voltages with 5 different ranges and directions. The transition can also be operated from a CV source at the CV IN, in which case the slider position acts as an attenuator for the incoming voltage. The maximum range of each channel can be set to either 5 or 10 volts, by 5 jumpers in the back of the module. Only positive voltages are generated at the output.Using the CV IN you can use two ADDAC306 modules to expand your control options to 9 voltage outputs under one common slider control.Use the VC Transitions to multiply the polyphony of a single CV sequencer by passing its outputs through the ADDAC207.VC Transitions makes for an awesome state transition controller. Plug its outputs to various CV controller parameters of your audio effects modules. Set the slider to position A, and set the minimum values for each channel. Then move the slider to position B and set the SPAN settings for each channel. Use the TRANSITION CONTROLLER slider to morph from state A to state B and backwards. Flip the DIRECTION switches to change the direction of the transition for each channel. Use the CV IN to automate the transition using LFOs, ADSRs or sequencers.Plug the output of your ADSR envelope to the CV IN and set the channels differently to get 5 different ADSRs from one common source. This module's development was based on an initial idea by Konstantine Fioretos.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. ADDAC309 CV to Expression allows a simple and straight forward connection between modular and effect pedals that features expression pedal TRS inputs.Instead of using an expression pedal into the effects pedal the user can use this module in between a CV source and the effects pedal to be controlled. This is a great way to control the available parameters on the effects pedals straight from a CV source.ADDAC309 features 2 channels each with a CV input with attenuator and a 1/4" jack output. This is a passive module, the power needed for operation is taken from the pedal power instead of the modular frame, this allows for perfect matching of the pedal’s operating voltage which can range from 3,3 V to 9 V.DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. Only trough-hole parts to solder. Make sure to check the build guide before you buy. ADDAC713 is the stereo version of our 703 Discrete Mixer. Inspired by Moog’s CP3 mixer, this is a fully discrete analog mixer and it's not, by any means, your standard breakfast mixer, although it can behave like one. This is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Despite its harmless looks there's a dark snarly soul behind that panel that wants to take your sounds into a realm of gritty gnarly growls. This new version was initially thought of as a percussion mixer, with mono inputs and panning, to allow placing percussive voices in the stereo field, while keeping channel 4 in mono for low end sources like a kick drum or Bass. In the development process we slightly changed this initial idea, adding stereo inputs for the first 3 channels, but still kept the 4th channel in mono. All four [GAIN] controls go to extreme levels, the first 3 channels also feature [PAN] controls.Feedback is used to overdrive the whole mix. As the control is turned clockwise the sound will be clipped harder until it goes completely off, this happens as feedback is increased the audio bias reference also moves up, at extreme levels it offsets the whole signal upwards until it completely goes above the top rail clipping the whole signal hence the resulting gate effect. The [MASTER OUTPUT] sets the overall output gain of the mixer, the two LEDs monitor the audio output signal. The soft clipping switch engages an anti-click circuit which adds a low pass before the output, the switch allows 3 states: Soft low pass / Off / Hard low passFeatures:• Three channels with stereo inputs, gain and pan knob• One channel with mono input and gain knob• Feedback/gate knob• Master output volume knob• Soft clipping switchDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Inspired by our ADDAC701 VCO waveform mixing section, our new VC Signal Router also updates our legacy X-Fade/Panner to a stereo configuration that also allows 4 quadrant mixing.Featuring two dedicated X-faders and a stereo VCA that can also be used as a third X-Fader. All controls have their own CV inputs and dedicated Attenuverters for precision control.4 quadrant mixing is achieved by using the stereo Master as a X-fader between left and right channels, this way you can plug 4 audio sources and sweep/crossfade between each and any of them using the 3 x-faders. Plug any 4 sources (4 waveforms of a VCO, 4 LFOs, 4 envelopes...) and sweep through morph through or have them all mixed together. For other configuration types Left and Right X-fader channels can be routed through the Master stereo VCA or sent directly to the outputs. A stereo Direct input can also be routed through the Master VCA or sent straight to the outputs. The Mono Sum output always mix Left and Right outputs together allowing the possibility to use the module as a peculiar 6 channel mono mixer. It can be used for both Audio or CV Signals.Features:• 6 mono inputs• 2 dedicated X-faders with Control knob + CV Input and Attenuverter Each X-fader can be routed through the Master mix or straight into the outputs.• Master channel can be used as a stereo VCA or an X-fader• Stereo direct inputs can be routed through the Master mix or straight into the outputs.• Fully analog audio path with high quality/low noise VCAs.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. ADDAC813 is a straight forward stereo mixer. Featuring 5 stereo channels, 4 of them with attenuators, a mono send/return path for parallel processing plus stereo and mono outputs.Four channels with stereo input and gain knob. Fifth channel with stereo input without gain knob, which are the prefered inputs to cascade several ADDAC813s when more channels are needed. Master Output controls the level of the Inputs mix. Two leds monitor the inputs mix.Mono Send / Return return path allows for easy integration of mono effects in a stereo chain. Plug your favorite module through it (filter, bbd delay, spring reverb...) or any mono pedal. The Return Gain works in parallel with the Master Output, just like regular wet / dry controls. The send output can be configured to be line or synth level via a jumper in the back.Stereo output sums the Inputs Mix with the Return signal. The Mono output is the sum of Left and Right outputsEffect PedalsUsing the send output at Line level, the user can connect the send output directly into mono effect pedals and have the pedals output connected directly into the return input without the need of an attenuator/amplifier module.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-1. Hexmix System is a six channel performance mixer specially designed for Eurorack. The system has two separate modules, the core of the mixer: Hexmix that has six channels with three band EQ, mute, pan and EQ section on the master, and Hexpander that add three auxiliar sends per channel, PFL, individual outs and balanced output. The mixer has a strong inspiration in classical DJ mixers, providing sharp EQ’s for enhanced performance, auxilliar send for effects and individual outputs to record your performance per channel. The system is designed to be placed in 6U, instead of the traditional 3U paradigm in Eurorack. So we will have every feature for each channel vertically as a conventional tabletop mixing deck.Six channel mixer with three band EQ, vactrol mutes, pan and volume control per channel.Inputs for every channel are located at left side of Hexmix. Each jack is normalized to a VCA Expander connection in the back, so if you have a Hexmix VCA , you will have the output of each VCA to every input. connecting a jack in any input will disconnect whatever is coming from VCA.Gain is set to unity, so it will act as an attenuator of the input signal. Mutes are clickless, as they are vactrol based. This circuit provide some decay on the mutes, rather than a sharp cut.Swithces have latch position and momentary ones to unmute the channel, providing some really nice performative capabilities.EQs are quite sharp (12dB) inspired in classic dj mixers to aggresively cut selected frequencies.Master section has it’s own EQ and volume control for the mix of all channels. Master EQ is softer than individual channel’s (6dB) and it’s meant to provide control over the final mix. It’s possible to change output level from line to synth with a switch located in the back. This will be pretty useful when used in combination with hexpander, that provides a balanced out at line level. Like this its possible to have a mix at synth level to re-route the master signal while having an output to PAFeatures:• Six Channel Performance Mixer• Three Band EQ per channel inspired in classical DJ mixers• Vactrol based mutes with momentary action.• Pan and Volume control• VCA Expander connection to plug every channel of an Hexmix VCA directly.• Selectable Line or Modular output level.DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1.
