The MetaModule puts real knobs and jacks on virtual software modules. Step back from the computer and make music with hardware, while keeping the flexibility and expandability of software.THIS PRODUCT IS ASSEMBLED AND NO DIY!The MetaModule comes with over 160 built-in modules from 4ms Company, Befaco, HetrickCV, NonlinearCircuits, and Scanner Darkly, plus clones of popular classics such as the Mutable Instruments Eurorack modules, fun physical modeling algorithms, and lots of handy utilities. All of the included modules are also available on the computer using the free program VCV Rack. Whether you make patches on VCV Rack and transfer them to the MetaModule, or if you just create patches directly on the MetaModule, there are plenty of creative modules to inspire new ways to make music.MetaModule PluginsIf the 160+ built-in module aren’t enough, you can load more modules as plugins. Already there are over 200 modules in third-party plugins from Bogaudio, Valley, ChowDSP, NANO Modular, and the list is growing. We have an SDK available to make it easy for VCV Rack plugin developers to convert their plugin to a MetaModule plugin. Our licensing terms are non-restrictive: developers are welcome to distribute their plugin in any way they wish, commercially or not.Mapping Knobs and JacksThe MetaModule has 12 knobs that can be mapped to virtual knobs. Each knob can be mapped to up eight virtual knobs, and each mapping can have a different range and offset. You also can save a group of mappings as a Knob Set and switch between Knob Sets with the encoder. You also can map the 8 inputs and 8 outputs to virtual module jacks. Also, the MetaModule is a USB MIDI host, so you also can map MIDI CC, note, gate, and other parameters to knobs and jacks.ExpandersThere are lots of ways to customize your MetaModule. A Wifi expander allows you to wirelessly transfer patches from your computer. Add eight more knobs with the Knob expander, or buttons with the Button expander. A CV/Audio expander adds more high-resolution inputs and outputs, and the Gate In/Out expander adds not only gate jacks but also TRS MIDI and I2C.Under the HoodThere are six CV/Audio inputs, two gate inputs, and six CV/Audio outputs. The CV/Audio jacks are all 24-bit, 48kHz DC-coupled, -10V to +10V. A USB-C jack accepts MIDI devices and thumb drives. Patches and plugins can be loaded via a USB drive or microSD Card, and internal flash memory lets you save patches you always want to come back to.The processor is more advanced than anything 4ms has used in the past, and is among the most powerful processors found in Eurorack. The Noise Swash is a chaotic random noise-maker and CV generator, generating its own sounds or working as an audio processor. As a stand-alone device it generates unpredictable continuously morphing oscillations on the Audio Output jack, and random CV fluctuations out the dual-direction "Mood CV" jack. A second CV input jack controls the Swash and Noisegate sections with positive and negative CV voltage. An audio input jack allows for distorting an audio signal beyond recognition, or using audio to trigger and modulate the chaos. The Swash knob is a 10-turn Bourns pot for adjusting minor variations. Each Swash has its own peculiarly unique sound.DIY-Kit-Type:THT-Kit-1. This is a Do-It-Yourself kit, not an assembled module. The kit includes all parts to build the module. The Percussion Interface (PI) and PI Expander are a pair of Eurorack modules that generate gates and envelopes from acoustic drums, samplers, drum machines, and virtually any audio source.Converting microphone, instrument, line and modular signals into CV and clock/gate signals, the PI and PI Expander are suited for synchronizing sequencers or other modules to the rhythm of an audio track or live percussion. The modules can simultaneously be used as a pre-amp for microphones or line-level signals, while generating inverted envelopes useful for side-chaining. The PI module contains all the core functionality and can be used without the Expander to conserve space. The Expander requires the main PI modules and adds three gain stage options, a modular-level audio output jack, a 1/4" (6.35mm) input jack, and envelope attenuation capabilities. The two modules are only sold together, they are not available separately.Features:• Sensitivity knob, Low/Medium/High gain switch, and clipping LED• Sustain control to prevent misfires, increase gate length, and control the envelope• Envelope decay control• Non-inverted and inverted envelope outputs, useful for side chaining• Four envelope outputs: two attenuated with independent attenuators, and two non-attenuated• Envelope following or generation modes• Gate output for clocking sequencers or any unit with a clock or trigger input• Compatibility with drums, pads, samplers, microphones, piezos, drum machines, etc.• 1/8" or 1/4" input jack (6.35mm)

This is our VC Rotator, a stepped routing module for any type of signal (audio, cv, gate, trigger...)Similar to a VC switcher but in this case there's the same number of inputs as outputs so, instead of 4 to 1 or 1 to 4, this module is always 4 to 4 but it can be patched for 2 to 2 and 3 to 3 step actions. All four inputs get routed to the four outputs depending on the CV and Clock controls and are divided into 4 routing steps:1. routes all inputs to the same number output: 1:1, 2:2, 3:3, 4:42. routes all inputs to an offset of 1: 2:1, 3:2, 4:3, 1:43. routes all inputs to an offset of 2: 3:1, 4:2, 1:3, 2:44. routes all inputs to an offset of 3: 4:1, 1:2, 2:3, 3:4Direction determines if the clock input goes forward or backwards.Going forward it can be set to 2-3 or 4 steps using the Rotate knob offset, going backwards always sync to 4 steps even if offseted by the Rotate knob. For 2 & 3 step action input 1 is normalled to input 3 and input 2 is normalled to input 4.Reset resets the internal clock to the first step.Pendulum, external sequencing or any complex CV actions can be achieved using the CV input and dedicated attenuverter.4 LEDs monitor which input is routed to output 1.Features:• 4 Inputs• 4 Outputs• Direction Switch• CV Rotate with Attenuverter• Clock and Reset Inputs• 4 Monitor LedsDIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. This new module should not be judged by its size, at 6hp it’s packed with features. At its core it features a noise source and two precision Sample & Holds that drastically reduce the typical voltage drop over time (20 minutes for a 0.01v drop) and with 0.3% of maximum deviation from the Input which allows for quantized signals to be sent through without any noticeable detuning. The Sample & Hold sections can also be used as a Track & Hold, meaning it holds the incoming input while the Trigger input is ON and lets the input flow to the output when the Trigger input is OFF.Each section also features its own slew processor with a single control over attack and decay and an ON/OFF switch. The noise signal is normalled to both sections inputs, meaning that without a jack plugged into the Input, the sample and hold function will act upon the incoming noise signal, generating random CV values. The [Trigger A Alternate] switch allows to Link both sections so that any trigger input in Trigger A will alternate between triggering the A and B section.Besides each section outputs there are also 4 extra outputs: Noise, Difference, Average and Sum. The [Noise] output is coming from the noise source, the [Difference] output is the subtraction of section A minus section B, the [Average] output is the sum of both A plus B and then divided by 2 and finally the [Sum] output is the sum of both A plus B sections.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2. ADDAC306 is a 5 channel multi-directional CV generator. You can think of it as a "sweet spot" controller, or a hands-on way of transiting from one state to another. Each of the five channels has MINIMUM, SPAN and DIRECTION controls, a common CV IN and a common TRANSITION CONTROLLER slider.MINIMUM sets the minimum channel voltage.SPAN sets the voltage range of the channel. It essentially sets the maximum voltage that can be output from the channel, relative to what the current channel MINIMUM is. For a given SPAN value, if the MINIMUM voltage is changed then the maximum voltage output from that channel will also change respectively.DIRECTION sets whether the voltage transition for each channel goes from MINIMUM to maximum, or maximum to MINIMUM.The TRANSITION CONTROLLER slider controls the transition from the minimum value (A) to the maximum value (B) or vice versa, according to the settings of each independent channel.Moving this slider generates 5 different voltages with 5 different ranges and directions. The transition can also be operated from a CV source at the CV IN, in which case the slider position acts as an attenuator for the incoming voltage. The maximum range of each channel can be set to either 5 or 10 volts, by 5 jumpers in the back of the module. Only positive voltages are generated at the output.Using the CV IN you can use two ADDAC306 modules to expand your control options to 9 voltage outputs under one common slider control.Use the VC Transitions to multiply the polyphony of a single CV sequencer by passing its outputs through the ADDAC207.VC Transitions makes for an awesome state transition controller. Plug its outputs to various CV controller parameters of your audio effects modules. Set the slider to position A, and set the minimum values for each channel. Then move the slider to position B and set the SPAN settings for each channel. Use the TRANSITION CONTROLLER slider to morph from state A to state B and backwards. Flip the DIRECTION switches to change the direction of the transition for each channel. Use the CV IN to automate the transition using LFOs, ADSRs or sequencers.Plug the output of your ADSR envelope to the CV IN and set the channels differently to get 5 different ADSRs from one common source. This module's development was based on an initial idea by Konstantine Fioretos.DIY-Kit-Type:SMD-Kit-2.
