Manufacturer "Befaco / Molten Modular"
Molten Music Technology is the professional and creative expression of Robin Vincent. It pulls together a fascination with synthesizers, modular, modular DIY, music technology and electronic making music on the Microsoft Surface Pro. Molten Music Technology includes a successful YouTube channel, and the Molten Modular and Surface Pro Audio websites.
Robin has been working in the music technology industry since he joined London’s Turnkey music shop in 1996. For 20 years, he’s been building computers for musicians and studios, first through Carillon Audio Systems, the Rain Computers and finally with Molten Music Technology. And then, around 2017 things began to change. Building audio PCs was becoming unsustainable, and so Molten Music Technology pivoted into producing music technology content. The YouTube channel grew, producing a series on making music with the Microsoft Surface Pro, and then came a huge dive into modular synthesis and electronic music production.
Robin now spends his time writing news, reviews and articles for numerous websites like Gearnews.com and the real-life printed magazine Sound On Sound. He produces a constant stream of music tech videos, including gear reviews, advice, how-tos, live streams and interviews. Every month there’s a Molten Music Monthly round-up of product news from around the industry. He makes plenty of his own music and is always looking for interesting ways to express it.
